Richard Paige Participates in Legal Issues Council for Automotive Suppliers

TROY, Mich. — Richard W. Paige of Bush Seyferth & Paige PLLC (BSP), a national litigation firm in Troy, was invited to participate in the Legal Issues Council of the Original Equipment Suppliers Association (OESA). In this capacity, Paige served as antitrust counsel to the council, as well as participate in all council activities.

The OESA Legal Issues Council promotes the welfare of the supplier industry by identifying and addressing strategic issues, sharing best law practices and recommending solutions for legal issues faced by the industry and supporting the effective implementation of legal resolutions. The Council has focused on such issues, related to automotive suppliers, as OEM terms and conditions, legislation reform, warranty considerations, pricing and records retention.

Members of the Legal Issues Council are selected by a peer group of legal executive members of the Council based on industry and professional experience. Results produced by the Council are made available to OESA and the public at a reasonable charge.

Paige has worked extensively on product safety issues in the automotive industry, defending product liability suits and assisting clients with NHTSA investigations. He concentrates on general business and commercial litigation in state and federal courts, with expertise in commercial contract disputes, business torts, unfair competition and trade secret matters, corporate governance claims, construction issues, fiduciary responsibility claims, insurance coverage and securities litigation.
