Molly K. Conway–Mannor focuses on complex business and commercial litigation. Molly has experience with matters involving trademark and copyright infringement, unfair competition, real estate tax valuation methodologies, bankruptcy, and a variety of financial transactions.
- Assisted in obtaining voluntary dismissal of putative class action complaint alleging unlawful and deceptive practices in connection with the marketing and sale of trucks.
- Obtained dismissal of substantial portion of plaintiff’s case in commercial dispute in the Eastern District of Michigan, defeating all of the plaintiff’s franchise, fraud, tortious interference, and quasi-contractual claims.
- Defeated substantial portion of defendant’s counterclaims on motion for summary for disposition in a trade secrets and fraud case, while defeating cross-motion on eight of nine claims brought by defendant.
- Representing a major steel manufacturer in a wrongful death action.
Before joining BSP, Molly clerked for Justice Brian K. Zahra of the Michigan Supreme Court. She also interned for Judge Stephen J. Murphy III of the United States District Court of the Eastern District of Michigan, worked as a summer associate at Honigman Miller Schwartz & Cohn LLP, and externed at the Genesee County Prosecutor’s Office in the Felony Crime Division of the District Court. Before law school, Molly worked in the medical device industry, specifically, in the area of internal audit and regulatory affairs.
Molly earned her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, where she served as the Executive Editor for the Journal of Law Reform, Employment Chair for the Intellectual Property Student Association, and Secretary for the Bankruptcy Law Society. She earned her M.B.A. at John Carroll University cum laude and B.A. in Chemistry from the University of Akron. Apart from her legal career, Molly is a licensed asbestos contractor/supervisor as well as an inspector in the state of Michigan and co-owns Environmental Affairs LLC, which provides mold remediation and asbestos abatement services.
